Norway may be best known for the Northern Lights, but its beauty goes far beyond that. As an exchange student at a local high school, you’ll quickly notice how much Norwegians love adventure and sport, and there’s no better place to practise your favourite outdoor activity than among Norway’s stunning fjords, mountains, and lakes. Not a fan of the cold?

Norwegians certainly don’t let the weather stop them. With as little as 6–8 hours of daylight in winter, they’ve mastered the art of making the most of every moment of light.

Begin your exchange program in Norway with an optional 4-day orientation camp, held in either Oslo or Stockholm based on your program choice. The Stockholm camp welcomes a broader group of students heading to countries across Scandinavia, including Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Denmark. If you attend the Oslo camp, you’ll be alongside students who are all starting their exchange specifically in Norway.

This experience is designed to ease your transition into life overseas. You will have the chance to recover from travel, get to know other exchange students, and feel more settled before your exchange begins. The program also includes helpful workshops to prepare you for your exchange, along with opportunities to explore the local area, take in key sights, and get a first taste of your new environment.

Stockholm Camp: AU$1,075
Oslo Camp: AU$1,350

  • Transport to your host family at the end of the camp
  • Accommodation for 3 nights in a hostel
  • 3 breakfasts and 3 dinners
  • Transfers from the airport
